When you register or use ArthNote, you may voluntarily provide:
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Username
- Mobile Number (optional)
- Address (optional)
- Profile Picture (if provided)
1.2 Bookkeeping Data
ArthNote is built for personal and collaborative bookkeeping. Stored data may include:
- Book & Account Names
- Ledger Entries
- Income & Expense Records
- Payment History
- Balances & Categories
- Notes & Remarks
You retain ownership of all bookkeeping data you create.
1.3 Shared Books
Stores book ownership, member list, invitations, permissions, shared entries, remarks, and media. Only authorized members can access this data.
1.4 P2P Books
Stores participants, shared entries, remarks, media, and membership status. Only the two participants can access the contents.
1.5 Private Books
Only your account can access your Private Books, unless you choose to convert or share them via supported features.
1.6 Entry Remarks
Optional remarks added to entries are stored solely for bookkeeping functionality.
1.7 Media Attachments
You may upload images, bills, receipts, and other supported documents. These are used only for displaying and storing your bookkeeping records. We do not use uploaded media for advertising, profiling, or AI training.
1.8 User Search Information
Users may search for others by email address or username to invite them to Shared Books or P2P Books. Search results are used solely for this purpose.
1.9 Usage Data
We may automatically collect limited technical information to improve stability:
- Device model
- OS version
- App version
- Crash logs
- Diagnostic info
- Performance data
1.10 Advertising Data
ArthNote displays banner advertisements using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers, device information, app interaction data, and network information, governed by Google's own Privacy Policy. We do not control data collected by AdMob.

Collaboration Features
When you invite another user to a Shared Book or P2P Book, authorized members can view shared bookkeeping data, access entry remarks, view uploaded media, and perform actions according to the permissions granted.
You are responsible for deciding whom you invite.
User Search and Blocking
Users may search for other registered users by email address or username and invite them into Shared or P2P Books.
If you block another user:
- They may no longer view your profile where applicable.
- They may be prevented from sending invitations or interacting with you.
Blocking does not automatically remove existing shared bookkeeping relationships unless separately managed by users.
Data Sharing
Within the App
Data is shared with users you explicitly choose to collaborate with — Shared Book members or P2P participants. Only data belonging to those books is shared.
Service Providers
Trusted providers handle cloud hosting, authentication, data storage, analytics, crash reporting, and advertising — solely to provide services on our behalf.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information to comply with applicable laws, respond to legal requests, protect our rights, or prevent fraud or abuse.
Data Storage and Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Secure cloud storage
- Authentication systems
- Access controls
- Encrypted communications
Although we strive to protect your information, no electronic storage system is completely secure.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as:
- Your account remains active.
- It is necessary to provide the services.
- Required by law.
- Needed to resolve disputes or enforce agreements.
Deleted data may remain in secure backups for a limited period before permanent removal.
Your Rights
Depending on applicable laws, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Update your profile
- Delete your account and data
- Leave Shared Books
- Remove members where permitted
- Block or unblock users
- Withdraw consent where applicable

ArthNote is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

- Authentication providers
- Crash reporting services

International Data Transfers

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When significant changes are made, we will update the Last Updated date and may notify users through the App. Continued use of ArthNote after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
